It's legal to fish along the stretch where the ferry jetty is. The west side of the island is marked as marine reserve and the south side is occupied by AVA's installation. There's plenty more area to explore across the causeway, but it takes some walking.

This is a Saddle Grunt, they don't grow very big. Although they aren't Croakers, they certainly can croak.

I'm not updated with the latest tackle but you can look at Storm Teenie if you're actually fishing along the rocks. If you're looking more into targeting pelagics that may require further casting distance, you might want to get a rod that is 7-8' rod like Shore X.

That really depends on where you're fishing from and what type of fishing you're referring to. You have to be a little bit more specific.

I wouldn't want to try crabs raw, I personally think it's kind of dangerous. Although vinegar does kill bacteria, it doesn't penetrate the crab meat as well as cooking can.

Hi Javie, welcome to HLF. Yes, groupers can be very greedy and do take relatively large sizde prey. What is more interesting though, is that the groupers starts feeding after being caught. Usually, fishes landed will not resume feeding right away due to trauma, it can take up to a few days for them ...

That's a great view, I believe this is the opposite shore of Changi Point Terminal where you can take a ferry to Ubin.

Pretty interesting catches there, yes it's a thundercrab.
