Re: Are there any fishes at Little Guilin?

There are fishes there, but it's pretty hard honestly to get them to take your lures, the area is seriously over-fished and not to mention it's pretty small.

If you want to throw some lures in the area, you are better off at the canal near yew tee/cck or jurong lake.

Re: Lemax Redsword VS Shakespeare Connosieur

The biggest problem with the redsword, like all lemax rods, is the guide, the blank is very trustable, sadly not the same can be said about the guides though =\

I would suggest spending a little more and get a bassterra EV, it's around $70~$80 I reckon.

Re: help in fishing gear

If it's a light tackle set I think a Bassterra EV from Shimano would suit your purpose fine. Pretty decent low end rod, I personally find it stiff enough for my liking, could be just me though.

Re: Fishing at St John's / Lazarus

Not sure about boating, but I have been there with surf friends just a couple of days back, it wasn't half as bad, sting ray considered fish right? 8.5kg on his boga and couple of small fishes here and there. Good luck nevertheless! Hope you save some money!

Re: What is handlining, and the basics?

Your idea of a wiki page would work, but only if there is a group of dedicated people working to keep the page updated. That alone would scare a lot of people off, most people are either too busy, or too new to be of any help (like me).
