Re: Crabs!

They were caught from the rectangle crab nets! I heard there’s a method of eating the flower crabs raw by soaking in vinegar or something like that... intending on giving it a try one of these days.

Crabs!

Haven’t been fishing in quite awhile, been a little busy. But due to some circumstances, I’ve been able to do quite a bit of crabbing in a little hole I found! Here’s some pictures from the catch last night. First haul http://i.imgur.com/jIl4bAk.jpg Cooked immediately! http://i.imgur.com/9Ghsg8z.jpg...

Christmas CR

Headed to the usual last night armed with 20 tambans. Arrived around 12 midnight. Place was very crowded and I was chased away from my usual casting spot :( no choice but to go further down and cast. Was later alerted by another guy that my rod was ringing. Went to check, line went slack. Tightened,...

Re: Tips for Cobia

So a days trip led to nothing but a big haul of tambans and another giant puffer :(
Another question though, how Long can tambans stay good in the freezer? I wrapped them in newspaper, hope to use them in the next few bookouts

Yet another snapper!

Started off the day with not much action, but managed to hook up a small squid, around 4 inches. Was deciding whether to dabao it or use it as bait... eventually decided to cast it out. Within 5 minutes, reel started screaming :D I thought it would be much bigger because the fight was strong and it ...

Congrats on landing this beautiful Mangrove Jack, is there anything you can't land from this spot? :eyebrow:
The other day I saw a huge sea turtle surface right in front of me, I'm thoroughly convinced this spot can produce anything :D

Both were caught at the exact same spot too! Maybe there's a little coral trout hide out there :p

Re: Grouper day!!

These fishes gets me drooling, quality catches right there. It beats some my bad offshore catches. :o You sure you saw mahi-mahi? It's unlikely, I wouldn't rule it out completely though. How far were they away from you? I'm quite positive they were mahi-mahi, with their distinctive green colour and...

Grouper day!!

Finally back from 25 days of Brunei jungle :raincloud: Actually managed to catch some catfish from the rivers during survival training :p Got 300grams and headed down to the usual. First handline I hooked up a prawn and threw it down. As I was watching it sink to the bottom, line suddenly went pulli...
