I have caught many scats biggest maybe up to bout near a pound but i want to catch a GIANT scat. Would anyone mind sharing a spot where Monster scats inhabit? P.s I catch and release :grin:

Use a ultra light outfit 5 lb braid and a 10lb flourocarbon leader with a circle hook baited with bread
Best freshwater fish to target in singapore!

using no weights, just rig a live tamban on a large 1/0 hook. using wire is recommended

Use soft plastics. i like using the Berkley Gulp small grub. stand on a beach and just cast it out and reel it in slowly, twitch em' occasionaly

use a carolina rig with a size 2 circle hooks. full grown sized spangled emperors are rare. they love squid,prawns and dead fish. do not use live bait as they are scavengers. Now,DO NOT LIP THEM. haha last time i did that he bit my finger and it hurt ALOT as they feed on shellfish and crabs haha :p

grows pretty big. normally caught on tamban jigs when they are feeding on the bait fish

Line: use at least 30lb flourocarbon as their sandpaper like teeth would cut through mono
Hooks: I like using circle hooks maybe size 4-1
Bait: live Tamban or Smallmouth Scad works best.For me. :p
