Re: changes to tackle directory n tamban hook

Hey peace did you ever see hooks with no holes ? How to tie them Hi man :D The holes of the hooks are always named as 'eyes'. Eyeless hooks are those which the its top are typically moulded by flattened ends called spades instead, for holding the knot from slipping out. I think spaded hooks are che...

Re: changes to tackle directory n tamban hook

What do you mean by the 'if the knot is wrong'? Are you looking for another knot alternative to surgeon's knot or another way to tie surgeon's knot? Another knot you can try is the T knot but I've never tried tying it for tamban hooks. Those machine tied tamban jigs don't have knots very well tight...

Okay, I just re-read your input on the surgeon knot in the tamban hoo...

Fishing hooks are deadly to fishes and can be equally as deadly to people if mishandled. Discarded hooks on the ground can sometimes penetrate through slippers and discarded and entangled line can trip passerby. Casting is one of the most dangerous part of fishing as it can inflict some very seriou...

Serious and probable matter, Fish Hook Injury!!

Hello folks, I'l like to start a conversation about this likely danger in any of our fishing environment. In many occasions, i witnessed many risky behaviors of mishandling fish hooks. 1. Unwanted and rusty hooks abandoned on the ground, awaiting barefooted people to trample onto. 2. Anglers tying m...

I must thank HLF for the tamban hooks tying instructions, also must thank a few kakis who gave me some pointers. Im aware im not the only person in the world who tie my own tamban rig. However on that day, i had double achievements because i caught the most number of tambans in my record. Furthermor...
