Re: Peacock Bass on topwater lure (updated 17th May)

Thanks. But one thing to note, even a productive spot needs to adhere to the golden hours of freshwater fishing. While I still can get fish during midday, the fishes are not as aggressive and sometimes totally ignore your lure. :sweatdrop: What are the golden hours? Early morning and Evening? Can u...

Do you know any particular shop in Beach Road that sells Lucky Craft Sammy. I have been there to some shops, but never seen any lure from Lucky Craft.

Walk the Dog...

I gave the rod continuous twitches while reeling and the lure was walking the dog for some time and when it came nea...

Kallang Riverside Park

I would like to know if Fishing is allowed in Kallang Riverside Park? Some websites say that fishing allowed there, but nParks website does not state if fishing allowed or not.
Also, are there any legal freshwater fishing spots near Tiong Bahru?

Re: guys...any good fishing spots to share or PM...

Yes, Jurong lake has PBs and it has designated legal fishing grounds. I caught my first PB (small one) at Jurong Lake using Berkley Gulp 3" minnow. I also saw another guy got 3 fish (dunno which fish) using Storm Lure there...

Re: Chia Soon Kelong ~ 23rd April 2011

Hi dBs, one query from my side... If one has EP then what are the requirements for going to Kelong? Do we need Visa for Malaysia, or just the Passport would do?

Sinker Size for Surfcasting

What should be the maximum sinker size/weight for optimum casting. For e.g. I have a rod capable of upto 35lb and line at 25lb, for this what should be my heaviest sinker without using a shock leader for a long cast? Is there any formula to calculate the sinker size? Also a Tear drop shaped sinker i...

Re: fishing area

I see a few people fishing at this spot between AYE and West Coast Road:
Google Maps

I pass that area everyday by bus in evening and see a lot of activity on the surface and 1-2 people fishing there. Although the sign by PUB says fishing not allowed.
