Thanks for the replies! Would give it a try hopefully this coming weekend. How many hooks at the end of the leader is good? Saw some anglers using up to 3 hooks before, but can't remb the configuration of the rig used. Tried using a 330ml bottle as float the last time, the resistance of the big bott...

Hi need some advise on the suitable rig for catching todak.

Also the size of hooks to use.

Apart from the first picture, the rest are Mayan Cichlids . I'm not too sure what the first fish is but it looks kind of like a Redbelly tilapia ( more pictures ). Nice catches by the way. :D the first one somehow looks like a hybrid to me I think so too, 1st look I thought it was a juv green chrom...

Hi Shrimp and a warm welcome to HLF. :grin: It is possible to lure with handlines but it won't be as efficient or effective as with a rod.
