Hmm nothing wrong with the guide, i just need to glue back the joint.
Edit: its just a normal 2piece rod.

How much does it cost to repair the joint of a 2pc rod?
Since i dont have any tackle near my area wanna find out how much would it cost to repair the joint.
The damage is the top piece stuck in the joint, and got dettach from the bottom piece. But still able to insert it back through the bottom piece(still have some tightness in here)

The ambience was really good actually, however too many garbage in the lake hooked up 3 plastic bag and drown my newly bought lure into the bottom of the lake. Quite some fishes coming to the surface for air. When leaving saw a huge toman? / eel? / huaran? around 50-60cm on the illegal fishing site ...

yup exactly , was aiming for spoon as well and maybe change my minnow to a more shinny/reflective one to attrach bite.Peace wrote:A spoon will be very easy to cast as it has very high density. Maybe you should get one just to practise casting and to fish.

Ah, the issue should be with the lure weight. 8.6g is a very light lure and you'll definitely have problems casting it far. Using a longer rod to lobe the lure out will be much more effective. Toman definitely takes minnow, but your current lure is probably too small to interest an adult toman. Spo...
