Re: 500 bucks budget for fishing sets. in SGD :)

oooh . . . that's a comfortable amount to spend with. how i wish i can suggest, but i don't boat so much to gain enough experience to share. but don't go to a tackleshop telling you got so much. i think it will make them just as comfortable with suggestions. make things difficult for them make them ...

Re: low profile bait caster..

where is your house? personally i don't use low profile BC reels. but definitely seen one. as it's title suggests, the low profile shape don't seem capable of loading lines suitable for offshore fishing. usually offshore fishing, line strength requires 20 - 30 - 40lbs or even more. the line diameter...

Re: How long is a 12 feet rod?

it isn't unusal to be casting 12ft rod among or in front of regulars. don't feel that way. here's why you should understand why is it beneficial using a 12/ 14 ft at bedok jetty. if you hook a fish, and coincidentally the fish makes a dart in between the pillars underneath the jetty. you stand a bet...

Re: Good rods in singapore tackleshops

no offense. but with $50. it's really tough to find one that fits the best of all worlds.

i like changi pro tackle most. it's a tackle shop they sell a very wide range of buget tackles. very very wide. and if changi pro don't have? walk next door got riverland tackle.

Re: reel recommendation

actually there is a whole wide range of $50 reels. it is really better to be at your favourite tackleshop asking for quotes. you can even feel the reels. rather than just looking at figures.

Re: low profile bait caster..

so you are going on boat trip har? congratz. actually beach road is like 'it fair' where you will be spoilt with choices. one place where a lot of tackle shop gathers. it also means there's competition. so the price should be competitive too. most importantly. shop A tells one story, shop b within w...

Re: Do wolf herring/ baby queenfish strike reflectors and sa

If you want to play artificial lures, your 6ft rod loaded with 15lbs line setup will do just fine. For jigs, you can go for 20-40g ones depending how heavy your rod can take. For baiting, cable car rigs or float with live tamban works just as well and probably easier. in addition. an example. heavy...
