Re: what is the best lure for pb

PBs always take flies readily according to many hardcore lurers. However I have had one experience when my popper was taken. I retold my catch, and few were pretty amazed that I hit one on a popper. For me personally have landed a few more PBs on minnows with colours Which stands out to the surround...

Re: Rods and reels FW AND SW possible?

Thank you peace for the further clarification. That damage shown on the web is really scary by the way. And since a thread is already started by me I would like to add in another question which slipped off my mind initially. I have a budget of $150 up to $160 for a low profile baitcaster for luring....

Re: Rods and reels FW AND SW possible?

Oh yes sorry on my part. FW luring SW to play with kbl in ponds and just onshore. Not aiming to cast far definitely I'll just use them according to the ratings on the rods. But as my main point is using them for both types of water I guess Uve pretty much answered my question. Thank you oinkie.

Rods and reels FW AND SW possible?

For rods like lemax, seahawk and eupro are few common brands used for FW mostly. I personally have yet to see any of the above ( except seahawk surf rod ) used for SW. May I ask just what are the factors that Classify a rod into the FW section? If a rod was manufactured as a FW one, is it ok to stil...

Re: need help in toman fishing.

Peacock bass are in abundance at Bedok reservoir. Haruans are more of a norm there, you often spot them by the reservoir banks. Tomans, I've only witnessed one being caught before so far, Baiters using live frogs.

Re: How to catch stingrays

according to many , swa jiam / pasir pasir / whitings are very favoured by stingrays as they emit this scent stingrays love. tambans are normally the least taken bait by stingrays as far as i know. squids are good alternative if u dont have whitings as bait. but keep the squids as fresh as possible....

Re: What will be the best rig for chermin?

The best bait would be live prawns. So rigs that won't restrict the prawn action/movement in the water will be good. Chermins on shore are not very big most of the time hook size 3 or smaller Shud be ok.

Re: multiplyer

Regarding what line poundage you should use, I think it depends on the spec of your reel. Use what is suitable for it according to its specs you should be fine. Technically speaking if the weight Is pulling your line and tangles into beehoon you should adjust the speed so that the line casted out is...

Re: Whats the secret to success ._.

Haha this is a very interesting post! I myself have never dragged a huge stingray out of the beach before. To me, personally I don't think there are any secrets when it comes to saltwater fishing, as it is very affected by natural elements eg tide, water current, water conditions and a little bit of...

Re: Rods & Reels Qn

Yes, like mrturtle7 said. For the rod action thing Peace has mentioned before. Fast action means the tip of the rod will bend when engaging in a fight with the fish, or when there's a weight tugging at the end of the line. Medium heavy means it will bend at the middle section of the rod, and heavy m...
