Hi, that would generally depends on what type of fishing you are into. In Singapore i would suggest trying out surfcasting, but do start out with a normal rod and spinning reel first. hey i was wondering about surf fishing, From what i see people usually use a wire leader attach to the hook, but i just use a normal 60lb mono, would it work too?

If i am not wrong, it is generally used for saltwater lure. I ask the tackle shop uncle for saltwater and this is one of the lure he propose to me

Haha thanks for the advice. I am facing a dilemma on whether to get a surf casting rod or get a fly fishing one. My argument for surf casting is that there is more area to do surfcasting in singapore from beaches and jetty. :) Fly fishing spot seem rather limited to salt water fishing and seem dange...
