How to catch needlefish?

how do u guys catch needlefish? do u use live baits or lures? im only interested with how strong they fight and not eating them. yeah.... so help please? :drool: i generally use carolina rig with circle hook :nod:

yea forget to mention bout the spines :sweatdrop: but i dun think theyre edible i usually see them sold as aquarium fish :grin:

ahh the spangled emperor.... the first fish i caught in my life and the srongest fight witha fish i ever had it was awesum :lol: i was at malaysia and i hooked a 32cm emperor bent my rod almost 90 degree angle nice fish :D

pretty cool fish went to kelong and caught a bunch of these. lol i got stung once by this fish it really burns ouch! :shocked: ive been stung by catfishes theyre much worse :lol:

lol the first time i caught 1 of these were a pain in the a$$. it coils around ur leader, creating mucous and slime and always swallows the hook even if its a circle hook. most irritating fish EVAR :rant:

yea ive caught dozens in upper seletar resevoir they weight about a kilogram. although i practice catch and release, if one gets gut hooked, ill bring it home to eat and yes i agree they taste pretty darn good :p

white cheeked monacle bream - this fish can really give a very good fight once its hooked. i usually use Mustad Demon circle hooks size 4 where i fish its a really fun fish when u haved hooked one :nod:
