Re: Decorated Ponyfish
Seems to be the most common ponyfish at bedok jetty. Simply swing a tamban rig (if its a "bedok jetty" tamban rig is used you dont even need bait) in between the pillars in the middle of the jetty When the current carries the rig for abt 8 seconds you can close the bail and wait, the ponyfishes woul...

Re: Some small catch!
Bedok seems to be hot with tambans recently
Did the tamban activity stretch from 7am-12pm? I went at that time last week and got many too haha
There were also big anchovies that everyone was excited about

Re: Bedok jetty
I tied my lsbf with 30lbs mono, and i always set my drag loose enough for my hand to pull out
I can only imagine a barra/mackerel slicing my leader as i couldnt feel a "break", just all of a sudden my line went slack...

Re: Some small catch!
I think large rays wont have problems coming close to shore, but those really huge ones may be in deeper water, maybe 15-20m out As long as theres lots of sand, there should be rays haha You can try using a wire to thread your whitings so they dont get torn off during the cast or when the fish hits ...

Re: Ajing/UL/LRF
Thanks haha
Just worried the line too heavy and thick for the rod then it breaks
Abt the lures, can use those japanese style aji worms? The thin long ones...
Also, will standard ul lures work? Like poppers, minnows etc
