Telescopic Rods

anyone owns or used a Telescopic rod before?
Are those type reliable? strong?

Those type of 1 piece rod, that extends out, like a telescope. Ideal for travel type. It's like prawning rod type, but it's used for fishing.

btw, remember to break off the stings on the top and sides. heard the sting can hurt quite badly. yeah, so handle ah sengs with care.

i might be going taiwan in march, but i don't think i will fish there. lol

It won't do significant harm to the fish so long the line between the sinker and the fish is long enough. It's best use with some current. If there's no current at all, you can do without the weight but the tamban may end up crossing your neighbours' lines. the thing is i don't have any weight that...

adjust drag.....so for this case i have to loosen the tension? (line overpowering rod)

lol at least u get small fishes. i landed a 10kg.........rice sack (filled with sand) before. not once, but twice. not only suay, but at the risk of my rod breaking.
