actually plastic is not an ideal material for keeping fishes. unless it is appropriately engineered, which would come with a hefty price tag, having to go through profound processes. else, plastic can react with a lot of chemicals. hence it isn't exactly appropriate for keeping live fishes.

i am a spider wire fan.
i have had it compared to fireline.
fireline frays after a period of usage. but not for spider wire. used a few spool already, never encounter fraying issue.
