That shouldn't be the mentality, safety should always come first. There are many things in life worth living for, fishing shouldn't be something you risk your life for. Some parts of the bank are not made for standing so one can slip and fall into the water if you're not careful. During rainy days, heavy water flow comes gushing down from the monsoon canal and water level can rise pretty fast. I suppose there can be snakes there too.
