There are Peacock Bass in Jurong Lake, infact I'm pretty sure all reservoirs and lakes have been invaded by them by now. And like Bczk said, only artificial lures.

basically for luring, you would prefer to get a setup thats light and comfortable for luring continuosly as you might have to spend some time luring before you get any results.... but strong enough to hold on to the fish without causing too much strain for you

yes you could.... but try not to go for too cheap or too expensive as cheap will spoil easily unless you know what you are getting.... probably could ask them and see if they could advise you on what to get
