Peace, u are the captain so .... u should be the one to organise a trip for us to cast n learn together lor.
dom dom ah ...... I never kena many many prawns like you did leh. My net cast trips all crabby catch all need to cnr de lor. Not like you can put in tank n fill up the stomach de leh

Loooong time no see guys.You guys talking about jaler net for catching bait rite? K i also own one so let me know when we going....hey delshey if you going call kevin oso come, tell him johnny he will knw.we go way back too.
*tip* Sembawang beach- season for prawn and small fish.very good bait.especially if you can keep them alive till the next good tide run in. thas wat those timer down there always do, unless they bringing back to gareng so lets get our nets and get some bait for the next fishing trip.
Question - Yo peace, bro wat species is the small fishes swimming around the shore near the bottle tree?

Wow, seems like a lot of people is interested in net casting. It would be a pity if someone didn't organize a trip. *hint* *hint*
Hi johnny110673, do you have any pics of the fish you're talking about? If not maybe tell us the size of the fish or describe any prominent features and do they swim in a group.
Mullets, sand whitings(ikan pasir pasir), gobies, marine catfish, eels can commonly be caught there. If it's those very little fishes swimming in groups, and hangs near structure or beside the slipway, they could be glassfishes or silversides.
I took a pic of a group of small fishes beside the slipway but can't quite be sure of what fishes they are. Are these the fish you meant?
Another possibility is a type of herring that swims in very large group near water surface, the 'sampan kua'. You can often find them at our northern coast. See this thread for some pics.
