What sort of boat fishing and location do you guys prefer? Eg. General bottom fishing, jigging, wreck fishing, night fishing, etc. The charter list will give you some idea as to what you require of the boat.

You can try out Ah Eng, I've been on his boat and it's quite spacious and newbies will like it for the comfort. The fishing is about average I would say, he does drifting most of the time.

Drifting means the boat is not anchored while you fish and will move with the current and wind. Snagging rate can be higher compared to fishing from an anchored boat especially in rocky places.

Depends on where you want to fish. East or West....

If you wanna try Ricky, make sure alleycat is fishing with you.
Newbies can be difficult unless you know the terrain and comfortable with drifting style fishing.
Else you probably end up filling up the Southern sea with your sinkers.

Probably you want to highlight to us where you want to fish ?
Like Changi ? Southern ?
Want bumbboat or fiber boat ?
And most impt ... price ?

You guys can also tag along any trips if there is any ...
Save you the hassle to make all the coordination and bookings.

i've never tried difting, so its a pass for me. preferable changi waters, because my friends are all first time on offshore fishing so, the terrain and waves at southern wates i think its too brutal for them. yah. hahaha, we're trying to keep our budget as low as possible. ya. OH, DBS, actually thats kinda a good idea. so, when's your next fishing event!

Changi waters ... highly recommend uncle Fong but ...
he is kinda pricy compared to other boatman plying Changi waters.
Fyi, weekends all fully booked for 2012 for uncle Fong so unless you are looking at weekday.
My next earliest trip with uncle Fong is in June ... I think I myself will go crazy by then if i don't go fishing. lol !

You can try uncle Zhong or ah chai ... can locate the contact via HLF boatman charter listings for details.

Oh ... if you have fB account, try joining the Fishing In Singapore group.
They have weekly offshore in Changi areas.
You can either tag along, cost around $65 per pax or book the whole boat. ;)
