Fish identity?

Hey guys, I was taking a walk near marina south pier today, was walking along the rocky shore and was observing some todaks.
Suddenly, saw this huge fellow, like really really huge, right next to the shore. From my guess I would say nearing 7-8kg. Couldn't really see what it was but it had a golden tail and patrolled the rocky shores.
Any guesses on what it could be? :p

What, no pics?! :mischieve: If it's long and slim, barracuda; if it has wider body it could be a barramundi; slow and stout and it might be a giant grouper. Or it could be your mind playing tricks on you from fishing deprivation.

Heh I tried to get a picture but it swam away already, my dad did see it too though, it was long but quite far too. Was thinking barramundi but the golden tail didn't seem to match. :p

Don't be too hasty to rule out barramundi. ;)
