Btw ... just curious ... wonder why handlining is not allowed in fishing pond ?
I am not a pond person ... so seriously I do not have any idea why .... ?
Anyone care to enlighten me ?

Good question, the few reasons I can think of it's that anglers can use very strong handlines to yank the fish out of the water easily, but I don't see how a heavy rod/reel can't do that also. Another possibility is that handlines are not so easily noticed and people can cheat their way by laying lots of handlines and claim it's not theirs if they were caught putting more lines than they were allowed. Also it's not as easy to tag a handline as opposed to wrapping a sticker round a rod to denote a paid slot.

There are tons of ways to 'Cheat' in a fishing pond. I shall share 1 method with you guys which i practice at the old Bishan Pond.
I will tie a 3 feet leader attached with a hook and a Styrofoam float at each end of the line. The end with the float, i'll make a big loop. Bait it up then throw into the pond in NUMBERS( usually i will make 10 of these ). Then, i'll keep a lookout for any moving floater. I'll tie a Treble hook onto my setup and try casting towards the moving floater. Hook it up and the fight is on.

By this method....lol...i can get many more times better catch rate than any other anglers around.
