Here's an interesting observation. I was catching some crustaceans and small fishes at a beach and I was bitten by sea lices. They're about half a cm in length and they can burrow into sand. Anyway, I held them in captivity to take some pictures while I gather more specimens. Shortly I caught a baby squid about 1.5 cm so I placed them all together.
The sea lices are actually quite agile swimmers and hard to photograph in water. To my surprise, the squid ate the sea lice. I thought the squid would be spooked in captivity.
The squid finishes the sea lice leaving its exoskeleton behind, then attacks the 2nd sea lice.
It might be an idea to put squids into sea lice infested pay ponds to get rid of the pests, provided the fishes do not eat the squid first.
