Re: Newbie try =\
Very interesting sightings you have on your fishing trip, I don't often see this sort of a 'hole' in the sky often. Must be quite a scary sight as well.

Re: Newbie try =\
Good try again hizodge, you seem to take interest in mother nature The first two pics are little too dark, allow me to add some lights to them.
This one is a tapioca plant. As far as I've seen, there are two types; one with red stem in your photo, and the other is white stem. The red stem tapioca fruit(or rather vegetable?) has very coarse skin while the white stem ones bears smoother skin. There's another type of plant that looks similar to the white stem tapioca and is inedible, its leaves are larger and fatter and its stem is also thicker.
This one looks like Yam Plant.
This one is definitely not fern, it looks extremely like a banana tree but its stem looks thin compared to typical banana trees.
You mistaken liao...that's what's left of the pontianak's victim!

Tapioca!
Just thought I share with you the pictures of the tapioca I spoke of, I managed to find them after some digging.
This is the type Hizodge took, red leaf stem tapioca.
This is the white leaf stem tapioca I spoke of.
And this is the 'fake' tapioca plant, you'll find no tapioca digging into the roots. It has a milky substance when you break its leaf stem.
I had fun digging tapiocas as a kid and some of the prized tapiocas I found are over 3kg a piece, that took some serious digging with a stick.
