Monkey Business
The Long-tailed Macaque can be commonly sighted in nature reserves and reservoirs. These monkeys have become so bold that they're not afraid of human presence nor is easily intimidated by our actions. We shouldn't feed them because it nurtures their boldness to snatch from us and causing nuisance by breaking into residents' house.
Here are some random shots of these monkeys. I for one, is not a fan of them.
Here's a male up high on a tree making a lot of noise when I invaded their territory.
Here's another one drink water from the reservoir.
For some reason, I have great dislike for these monkeys.

hi desley, its not wise to stare direct at any primates directly into their eyes. as they will become violent and start to attack you.desleyhan wrote:You sure did wait for the perfect moment to capture pic no. 3 ... hahaha

hey domvonn, thanks for the advise ... i also understand (from discovery channel) that showing our teeth to the monkeys would be a sign of invitating for a fight/battle.
I wonder how many of you out there have tried it? - gotta be careful!

The monkey chewing on my bike pic was a few years ago at Bukit Timah Vistor Centre. They're were hanging around there digging into trash bin for food and made a mess all over the place I'm glad more parks now are using those dustbin lid which monkey cannot open.
For our own safety, we shouldn't get too close to them as they can get really aggressive, especially with the male leading the pack.
