Re: Nite View
Welcome to HLF KurauKing, Port Klang sure looks beautiful at night and is probably an excellent fishing spot as well. And that's a nice tree frog you have there, the lightning does make it more cooler.
Re: Nite View
...hmm, i am beginning to understang what you guys are talking about when some of you mention 'Background', looks like there is much to learn from all photo Sifu here.......
I am using Olympus 720sw and 790sw, can anyone teach me how to improve on my photo shooting technique. There 1 problem i am facing, for nite view i normally uses a tripod with nite mode funtion but it's not easy taking pic when on board a boat or sampan, how you guys do it~?

Re: Nite View
Background, for macros , imho a clean background will bring out ur subject more, cluttered and messy background basically deviates a person's attention from the main subject,i am learning towards that too, most of the time when u see a subject u will be happily firing away.heheKURAUKING wrote:...hmm, i am beginning to understang what you guys are talking about when some of you mention 'Background', looks like there is much to learn from all photo Sifu here.......

Haaa just kidding. Ok ... in my Pte Ltd understanding the shot needs Higher ISO setting, but the trade of should be that the picture will turn out pretty noisy unless using Higher End DSLR or some cameras with Half or Full Frame CCD.
Then you can employ a technique called Panning, it keeps the subject in focus but the background blur. This is done by lowering the shutter speed and panning (following the subject) while its moving.
Here's an example:

Re: Nite View
Sports mode is for Burst Shots ... No use for the sampan one ... Problem at night is not enough lightingKURAUKING wrote:Woaah, thanks Dom and Tere, me think me ish beginning to understand liaw, the Olympus i have do have a Sport Mode Function de, me will try using it for nite view, see how it turns out.........hehee...............
