I went cycling the other day and passed by dover and decided to visit Kent Ridge Park. It's been a long while since visited this place and I suddenly realized why - I had to push by bike up that horribly steep slope. But once I got to the top, I can stop complaining and enjoy the view.
A bird's eye view of the coast and the port.
I walked further down and went through the canopy walk, didn't see anything interesting. It's a good place to watch birds though.
I came back to the viewing point to take a break and saw this mantis resting on top of a signboard. I used a stick to reach for it and it curiously hop onto it.
I think the more interesting part of the park is the nature trail. I went into admire some of the wild pitcher plants along the trail. I managed to spot another bigger mantis along the way.
And also a golden fly.
An enjoyable trip but pretty sweaty even walking in the shade.
