Short morning walk

Post by Peace »

I was having a walk in the woods over the weekend when I saw a mouse deer; and this is my second encounter with a mouse deer. :) I never managed to take pictures of it as there was too little light and it was moving. All I have is a short low quality video of it, you really have to squint your eyes to see it. :p

You can download a better quality here: right click, save as...

I came across a durian tree with several durian fruits on the ground, I thought it was too good to be true. Sure enough all of them have holes in them, probably the work of squirrels or monkeys!

Why can't they just finish the whole durian instead of just taking just one bite off each?

Also saw some 'false durians' along the way too.

Peacy ! Is that Pulasan (Nephelium mutabile Blume) on the second peek ? Its a really yummy fruit !

The durian still looks alright, it should be just 2-3 days old. If you open the other sides it should be still good

Cute dear Cute dear !

Hmm, I don't think so, I can see some of the fruits that were partially open and it didn't seem quite edible.

What luck to see an otter, I've yet to see one in the wild. Look at it playing by the bank and rolling on the grass...how cute!

Here's some more pictures from Zheng Hua Park. There's always lots of cyclist taking that trail during weekend mornings, so photographers mustn't stay on biking trails to take pictures!
