Really big fish

Post by Peace »

This video is sent to me from a friend who was fishing at Labrador Park recently. An angler spotted this fish surfacing close to the jetty and swam slowly along side for awhile before diving down into the deep.

Notice that the fin that protrudes out of water is actually its tail (pointing upright), so that means it's very likely a shark. It was described as deep colour and swims gently. Anyone wants to ID this fish? ;)

Could it have been a Whale Shark?

Interesting, the motion and tail does seem similar. If it were true that it was a whale shark, I think it would have to starve itself coming into our waters. Probably got lost or something.

That's hard to say, plus the video only showed less than half of the entire beast.
