I remembered having tried this prawn noodles some times ago, didn't leave a good impression then.
Nevertheless ... I gave it a 2nd try when I was at Adam Road Food Centre for lunch today.
The first thing that really impresses you when you get there is the quality and size of the prawns.
They uses wild prawns harvested from the sea.
A bowl of $5 prawn noodle comes with 2 halved medium sized prawns and one piece of pork rib.
Soup brewed with the concentrated essence of prawns and pork ribs, is flavorful and complements the noodles well.
However ... the prawns were pre-cook and de-shelled, added to the noodles just before serving.
The prawns looses the sweetness and juiciness of a sea prawn.
As I always like to eat prawn noodles in soup.
They have disappointed me yet again.
Will give their dry version a try when I next visit the stall.
Hopefully it will fair better than their soup version.
