Wow, that is indeed an expensive Pocky yet, how does it compare the Pocky desserts? I saw another pocky called "stick to fun". They look somewhat like regular pocky but was sold in a big pack, $5.90. I didn't think it was worth buying. :p

These Japan Pocky are very detailed when packaging is concern.
I must say most of their products are unique in packaging.
From the exterior box right to the individual soft packaging.

This nutty pocky taste good but if compared to the Pocky dessert ... they taste almost the same.
You won't notice the difference even if there is any.
Both are chocolate coated with almond goodness.

I'll just grab the dessert version in future ... $6.90 definitely too stiff a price for a pack of pocky

Here's a Pocky clone.

I did not realise it was not the real thing despite it bearing such huge wording saying it's CHOCKY !
Bought from one of those mega store selling imported goods ... cost only $2.50 for a GIANT size box.
Really giant size .... individually packed pocky that is longer than a chopstick and twice the thickness.
It taste ok ...biscuit crispy and cream was fine too.

However ... comapred to the normal $1 classic version ... I still prefer the normal size pocky. ;)

Strawberry Bites Pocky

This is the box of Pocky that got me started this Pocky thread. :yay:

Bought by my sister-in-law ... it taste really good.
The cream is unique, it has this real strawberry bites ...
Taste so good you feel like you are biting into a real strawberry.
Comes in a box with 4 individually pack of 5's

In my years of eating Pocky ... it has never occurs to me that a small pack of Pocky can cost more than $3.
Went to NTUC to replenish the Pocky, to my surprise ... it cost $4.10 for a box.
And from then ...
I came to know that there are much more varieties than I can imagine
and a small box of Pocky can cost as much as $6.90.

Dessert Pocky ~ Orange Flavor

Another version of Dessert Pocky ... Orange.
Dressed in Blue and White packaging
Opens to a box of 4 smaller packs of 3's.

This version always comes in thickly coated chocolate ...
For this one with a tinge of orange flavoring.
Very nice to eat and leave a fresh tangerine after taste.

Would love to have them as often as I like but ... price is simply not appetizing.

I think Chocky did a very good job making people think it was Pocky, even I didn't realize it until after several times I came across it. I must give it some credit for making it that big, it does look really appealing. The orange flavoured one is new, I've not seen that one before. The chocolate coating looks thick and creamy.

I'm beginning to think that you're addicted to Pocky.

Addicted to Pocky I am
It's not hard to find a few different flavored Pocky in my house nowadays.

Alright here's another Pocky Dessert ... Chocolate and more chocolate !
Bought at NTUC AMK Hub ... nearest supermarket with most varieties for me to pick and choose ...
This one comes in a red and white box.
Usual 4 packets of smaller one inside with 3 sticks of thickly coated chocolate Pocky.
Very very thick chocolate taste.
Creamy and nice.

I start to wonder .... if these Pocky were price similar to what I have paid.
A friend told me I bought at a slightly expensive price but ... it's NTUC leh.

Rocky or Pocky ? 0.o

It's Rocky Pocky ! :mischieve:

Bought it in Malaysia while in KL recently.
Never see this in Singapore before but Simon told me he ate this before when he was much younger.
So I guess Singapore do have this Rocky too.
Probably launched in conjunction with the Rocky movie.

Taste wise almost similar to any other chocolate Pocky except that the cream is slightly sweeter.
Sold at RM$1.60 per box.

A nice surprise.
Wonder if any one of you guys seen this in Singapore ?

Another version of the Pocky Dessert, Hazel nut flavoring.

Cost me $5, a box of 4 smaller packets inside.
White cream rich in hazel nut flavoring.

Ate one stick and put the rest into the fridge.
I do not like hazel nut as flavoring, bought it out of curiosity.
I find it has this funny taste but the coated cream is thick and very creamy.
Worth a try if you enjoy hazel nut in your food.
