Summer Frost @ Katong
41 East Coast Road Singapore 428761

Operating Hours : 12noon - 11pm (Daily)

http://summerfrost.sg/

This new dessert eatery located at Katong, beside the famous 328 Laksa between Marshall Road and Ceylon Road.
It's not difficult to spot Summer Frost for it spots a new cool looking renovation.
Simplicity with taste ... you sure to step in especially on a hot sunny day.

This dessert originated from Taiwan and it is gaining popularity in Singapore.
Being of adventurous nature, I choose to cool the day off with Champagne and Grapes ice frost.
Served in a black bowl ... the colours combination were stunning.
The ice does not melt as easily compared to those shaved ice in ice kachang.
A light champagne taste with grapes sliced evenly scattered on a mountain of nicely layered ice frost.
I'll give this an A* .

The Green Tea Mocha, green tea flavoured ice frost covered with creamy milk and red beans as garnishing.
Another innovative combination I must say.

Simon like the traditional Banana and Chocolate chip combo.
Taste as good with vanilla flavoured layered ice frost.

The fruity Mango was normal with nicely diced mango cubes scattered around the ice frost.
Some were sweet, some were sour matched well with vanilla ice frost which is not overly sweet.

A die die must have dessert during a hot day.

Price at $3.50 for a combo set ...
Guess we'll be seeing this dessert sprucing up in every corner of Singapore every soon ~

Visited Summer Frost again with Sam.
Sure is a right place to go when the day is extremely hot ! :D

Sam choose the corn with caramel while Simon stick to his usual banana and chocolate.
I tried to be creative and went with the usual Champagne Grape with extra mango toppings.
Verdict ... taste kinda weird. lol !
The frost is nice so were the grapes and mango ...
but putting them all together tasted kinda funny, they didn't go too well together.

Wow ... that's cool !

Yeap ... these flaky ice originated from Taiwan.
One of my client flew all the way there to get the machine and be trained to used it.
They are one of the few who started selling these fancy "ice kachang" in town.

Will take some pics of their desserts when I visit them.
Btw ... it's mei hiong yun (味香园) dessert located at Temple Street.
The famous one selling almond paste "杏仁糊".
