CHEN MUN CHEE KEE PIG ORGAN SOUP
24 Foch Road
Singapore 209949

Tel: 62975068

Located off Beatty Lane, behind Eminent Plaza, across Lavender Food Market,
in a corner coffee shop house a stall selling the best pork soup in Singapore.
You will not be surprised to see lots of cars/taxi lining along the road ... all for a bowl of pipping hot pig's organ soup.
As they open till 5am ... it's one of the favourite eating place for taxi drivers.
For a good price of $3.80, you get a nice bowl of soup with rice.

The bowl of soup comes with a mixture of pork innards and fresh lean pork, few slices of fatty pork, tofu and salted veggies.
The chilli along with the right sort of thick black sauce is exactly the kind you'd be looking to dip your tender pieces of pork in.
I like the pork balls too ...bouncy and nice to eat.
If you are looking for a nice bowl of soup to warm your insides with, this place is definitely for you.

They do serve up several side dishes too.
I like their minced meat with salted fish, at $3 a plate ... it's so delicious you have to try it to know.
Minced meat mixed with diced carrot and chestnut, steamed with some ginger slices and a small slice of slated fish ...yum !

Their pig's trotter sells like hot cake too.
But I am never a fan of food soaked in sugary sweet vinegar
Had never tried it myself before so can't comment on this dish.
My mum being a Cantonese was a fan of this 猪脚醋
She said it's nice worr~ 0.o

Pig Organ Soup is one of my favourite, I sometimes order that in Mee Sua too :D $3.80 for rice and soup is a bargain, good to know there are cheap and nice food still around. I ever tried this 猪脚醋 and didn't like it at first, but found it to be rather nice after a few tries. It's not something I want to eat too often though. :p

You actually kinda like this sweet tasting pig's trotter ?

Once I order for my mum ... curiosity always takes the better part of me.
Once served ... the powerful smell of the vinegar came straight at you.
Probably can smell it standing miles away.
I took a tiny sip and drank a glass of coke immediately.
Cannot imagine how she can eat this sweet sweet pig's trotter.
What make it worst ... omg soaked in vinegar de :S

I am kinda surprised you actually like this Cantonese dish.
