Sweet Potatoes Wraps with a twist ~ these were made with sweet potatoes skin removed.
Nice color. I had it well dehydrated, refrigeration is not required.
Store in a cool, dry area in air -tight containers and they can be used within a month.
Two ingredients of sweet potatoes and lean meat, I am using beef again.
Wash and removed skin of sweet potatoes, steamed for 15-20 mins till cook.
Leave cool and cut into 3-4cm strips.
Dehydrate at 65C for two hours and remove for wrapping.
As sweet potatoes takes a longer time to dehydrate compared to meat,
I usually dehydrate the sweet potatoes strips before hand.
Wrap a thin slice of raw beef around each sweet potatoes strips and send it back into the dehydrator for another 4 hours.
The meat will cling on tightly to the sweet potatoes strip once dehydrated.
It's crispy sweet potatoes beef wraps, nice as training treats or as a reward for good behavior ~
Adding variety ~ we have carrot beef wraps.
Ingredient needed, needless to say, carrot and beef.
You may replaced the beef with any meat of your choice like chicken, pork or duck.
Using Australia carrot, you can choose to cook it or use it raw.
I have tried both ways and produces the same result.
As shown in the pic, remove skin of carrot and put to steam for 10-15mins.
Leave cool and cut into strips.
Wrap a piece of lean beef around the carrot strip.
Once tray is full ... dehydrate for another 4-6hrs or till dried.
Sky is the limit ... there is endless things you can do with Ezidri dehydrator !
Introducing another ingredient for making wraps ... Pumpkins.
There are few countries which we import pumpkin from like Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and recently ... China.
I still prefer to use Australia pumpkin though its the priciest of all.
The pumpkins are bigger, sweeter and cooks very fast.
To make into wraps, half pumpkin into quarter, half it again and removed the outer skin and seeds.
If you do keep hamsters ... the seeds can be dehydrated and make great treat for the furry rodents.
Use a slicer and make thin sheet of pumpkin.
Lay them onto the tray and dehydrate for 1-2 hours before taking our for wrapping.
Wrapped a thin slice of beef around the pumpkin sheet and dehydrate for another 4-6hours or till fully dried.
