Daiso Lure

Post by Allen »

Hi guys, i just brought a daiso lure, but i can't cast fast. I'm tie my main line to the lure and without weight, i can barely cast far. Using sure catch 15lbs mono line. :sweatdrop: My rod is 1.7m

The reason is because the lure is too light (and density too low) to cast far like most floating lures. While you can add split shot on the leader to increase the weight (about 1ft away from the lure), it will most likely affect the swimming action of the lure. Besides that, using a longer rod and thinner fishing line will also help increase casting distance.

15lb mono is giant!!

try 6lb braided, or 4lb braided.

the lures or crankbaits at daiso are very cheap. ($2.) it is very light. i regret buying it. so don't buy. go to a real tackle shop to get your fishing equipment. :D

Well, given the low price you can't really complain about it either. Afterall, they're able to land fishes too. High grade lures definitely work better but you'll be paying for a premium price. It also goes down to one's budget, how important is a little more chance to you, and where you are fishing. With cheap lures, you're never afraid to lure at 'risky' places. :eyebrow:
