I know the bottom fish is the Ang Kuey ...
Is the top fish the Ornate Emperor - Leng Jiam?
Got them at Pasir Ris Fishing Pond .....

Well on second thought ... they do look quite the same.

Both fish looks very similar at first glance. Maybe if you had another pic , it could help. I'm going to say the first one is an Ang Zoh(John's Snapper) and the below is Ang Kuey(Crimson Snapper).
The first hint is the difference in colour in both fishes. Even with colour faded due to death, the colours and body shape are quite different. The top one is golden, which cannot result from a faded red from an Ang Kuey. The body shape is different as well taking into account the angle the picture was taken in.

The one on top ish defi a Ang Chor (John's Snapper)... Characterised by slightly yellowish pectoral fin. The very define weapon that they have at the gill cover.cicicastello1 wrote:the top one if im not mistaken....it should be a mangrove jack
Second pic ish an Ang Kway (Crimson Snapper). Lemme find the pics first.

The Honeycomb Ray on the left ish about 15kg ... boga cannot make it ... need to use Karang Guni Spring Scales to verify. It fed 5 families ... lol
