I'm not familiar with pond fishing but I reckon apollo or float will work quite well if you intend to 'park'. If you're the active kind, try spinning with tamban or prawns.

There's probably very little current but it floats can still wander off even with wind. If you plan to use it, be sure to keep watch so it doesn't cross other anglers' line.

Spinning a bait is much like how you work a rubber. The rig is simple leader with an added split shot to sink the bait.
Something like this, single or double hook is fine.
