okay first for live hook its back where the black dots are and for dead hook tghem anywhere execpt the head

You can hook the prawn at the last or second last segment of its tail, just be careful not to hit the black line that runs across its body. You actually can hook on the head as well, pierce just below the spike on its head. This is particularly useful if you find that the fish keeps eating only your prawn head.
