Catfish have quite big mouths and are very greedy, almost any bait would work for them. For me, apollo rigs work just fine for them.
I wanna catch a big fish~~~~

Any kind of bottom rig is fine, I suggest a running sinker rig with earthworms as bait. :)

i will be freshwater catfishing? my aim is for "tor sat" and red tail cat :o
i thought of my own rig which is i put the weight on the swivel at the end of my main line. the loop of the hook line i tied is also put on the swivel, so the hook is attached to the main line through the swivel. this way the bait is on the bottom which i suppose most catfish are at right?

You can try what they commonly use in freshwater ponds; chicken liver.

Lower Seletar Reservoir seems to be a good place to start, try first light of the day when the water is calm. Illegal spots shall not be discussed in this forum, we wouldn't want authorities to be pointing fingers at us for promoting illegal fishing. :sweatdrop:

It depends on where u fish.If u wan to fish a freshwater wan,u can use a
bottom rig with chicken liver or doughbaits.

Ifu wan to fish a saltwater wan,u use the same rig as they usually feed at the bottom like stingrays and u can use prawns as baits.

That's all wat i know :o
