Raining Day, Cloudy or Sunny Day ?

Post by jofrijon »

Hi All... I am getting confused a little bit here.. When is the best timing for fishing in the shore/jetty? Is it Raining, Cloudy or Sunny ? or maybe after Rain ?
Is the fish biting depends on the water temperature....

Any comments are welcome... Thx

All these does affect fishing but it affects more on some areas than others. For example temperature affects shallow places and takes a longer time to penetrate into deeper waters. That's why some fish may be reluctant to move into shallow places during the day or choose to hide in shady places where the water is cooler.

From experience, some light rain is good somehow but prolonged rain is usually bad for saltwater fishing as it changes the salinity of the water and brings lots of silty materials down from land. Rain seems to be a good thing for freshwater though, they flush down food such as worms and fallen insects which makes easy meal for the fishes.

For shore and jetty, you're better off paying attention to the tide and current. Hours near to change of tide is always good to fish and you'll usually find more bait fish such as tamban when the current is strong. Those are good signs to fish.
