Yellow Tail Scad(Selar)

Hi All,
Can anyone share how to fish the Yellow tail Scad (Selar) and Smallmouth Scad(Selar papan) at the Bedok Jetty.

I saw alot of Selar papan feeding on the surface.

Sure thing, if you're sure they are Selar Papan you can catch them using tamban hooks alone. Same goes for Selar. But to increase the chance of getting them, you should use hay beoh(small shrimps). They're irresistible to all sorts of scads.

If you keep seeing them near the surface, you may want to try using floats + string of hooks + sinker + shrimps. Works great with long/pole rod.
