Hi

Are you referring to fluorocarbon line? Or fluorocarbon coated lines?

The pure fluorocarbon line is very expensive. The ones I'm using are pretty stiff for 30lb.

It is more expensive than typical mono, but it does have its advantages; not for the line visibility but its abrasion resistance property and perhaps reduce degradation from exposure to ultraviolet rays in sunlight. FC coated line is a good compromise between cost and unique benefit it can offer.
