catching tomans
saw a group of juvenile tomans the other day at a canal (the kind that still stay together in groups but have colourings and stripes already) should i try to do luring, baiting or wait till they get bigger? but problem is i don even know where the mamas all hide at so if they get big maybe cant even catch them

Re: catching tomans
Many of those you see at canals and hanging around on the same spots are usually orphans or have parted from their siblings. Young tomans are especially aggressive in a group compared to scattered ones due to competition. If you don't have a better spot, I guess you can try luring these small ones.

Re: catching tomans
You just drag them across the water surface with a twitching action. It'll create a popping sound as well as water splashes to attract the attention of the fish. Give it a few twitches/pops followed by a pause.
