Re: GT
Giant Trevallies aren't too common in our waters but you can get them from time to time. If you're keen on getting one, charter a boat to the Southern Islands and you can jig for them. They do come close to our shores as well, SGPU has caught a few one lures, maybe he can provide some insights to it. Besides jigs, poppers, spoons and minnows will work too. They're pelagic fishes and can hunt very close to the surface as well. Not too sure of what you meant on the fourth point.

Re: GT
There's such a device called a "lure retriever". It's secured to a rope and you can slide the device down your fishing line and it should take a grip on your lure and you can yank it out using the rope. It doesn't always work though.
Re: GT
ask google .... it has answers for everything !
here's something from ebay ... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LURE-RETRIEV ... 0621971753
You can get this sinker from any local tackle shop ...
Follow the instruction and tie thick thick mono line to it ...
You probably need to practice before you are able to retrieve anything with it.
It is not as easy as it looks ...

Re: GT
beach road, sabre tackle is selling the lure retriever. changi pro is selling it too.
to target GT, there are no sure hits lure. but effective ones are spoon, propeller (surface), popper (fast crank, after some noisy pops)
