What baits are best for snakehead ?.. :)

I'm new at this .. I'm really interested in fishing but i only goes for the particular ones. Now i'm aiming for snakehead.
I got a few question that been bothering me alot since i'm new to snakehead.
How do you locate where the snakehead is hiding? ( In Singapore )
What bait are best to use for it?
Is't living in muddy water ?
No worries friend , after catching it i'll release it.
Cause after seeing some videos of snakehead, i give it a respect for the fighting spirit thats why is worth to be release that's the reason why i'm after it )

It depends on which species of snakeheads we're talking about. Haruans are very adaptable and generally stay in shallow waters and close to the bank where there are partially submerged vegetation or water plants. Giant snakeheads (adults) tend to roam around in deeper and open waters in our reservoirs. So if you're targeting for haruans, look for weedy areas or areas with low trees overhanging the bank. Sightings of frogs (usually those coppercheeks) can mean a good spot that attracts snakeheads.

As for baits, frogs are one of the most effective bait be it real or artificial. Snakeheads will also take earthworms, prawn and small fishes. Haruans can live in stagnant, muddy and shallow waters. They do have limited air breathing organs to help them with this. This helps them tide through isolated ponds during drier days, they may also migrate through land during very wet or rainy days. Their will of survival is strong.
