anyone knows how to get mama tomans protecting their babies caught using lure? i tried attacking somewhere near the ball with my lures but no luck.
p.s. will catch and release

They don't always get provoked, they would usually try to lead the youngs away but some agressive ones react to larger lures or lures that do a lot of water thrashing or sound. It also doesn't mean there's an adult Toman when you see a school of its babies unless you actually spotted it. If it's possible, try not to disturb the guarding parent at all.
