Hi Kaki, welcome to HLF. What to use depends on what kind of fishes you're targeting and what are your expectations. If you just want to do some quick and easy fishing, you can use 3-hook apollo rig (size 8) with prawn meat and you'll get some action pretty quickly along any part of the east coast shore. Or you can head down to Bedok Jetty to do some tamban jigging.

If you want something bigger, it's likely you have to wait longer or even end up with nothing. You can use live prawns to target for trevallies or snappers or fishing close to the breakwater for groupers. If you're at the jetty, you can use the tambans you catch there as bait. You can catch a good variety of fishes with those.
