I don't frequent bjt much, but I heard from a regular there that 3 hours before the tide peaks is a good time to start fishing. Once the tide goes down half way, there's usually not much action. To get the queenfish's attention, it's best to keep your bait alive, the bait fish you catch from the jetty. Tambans are the best, but if you can't get them kunnings and selars will do just fine. If the bait fish dies, change a new one down.

Welcome to HLF Manfred! From what i know Queenfish is a pelagic fish and can be found midwater! Bedok jetty would be one of my first few places to target them as the waters are pretty deep and there are schools of tambans that frequent the jetty which you can use as live bait. As for the timings, the rule of the thumb would be 2 hours before the lowest/highest and 2 hours after.
Rig wise you could use a cable car rig with a live tamban

Just remember not to get disheartened by being a zerofighter! put in the hours and eventually you'll land one

I believe the cable car rig would be better as the queenfishes are mainly midwater? and your live bait will be swimming in that region, whereas with a LSBF your bait will be at the bottom. Hope it makes sense! hahas

I used to think that cable car will be the best for Queenie's
Until I started seeing the regulars only pulling up parangs and todaks on it
Usually queenfish on cable car are smaller and the bigger ones are on LSBF
