Re: walking catfish
Walking catfish are freshwater catfish and sometimes found in brackish water. They're called walking catfish because they can 'walk' or rather move around by wiggling their body and the use of its spines on its side to push themselves forward, much like the climbing perch. Their spines are venomous, so do take care when handling them. Those we catch from canals and reservoirs are usually walking catfish.

Look out for a cluster of tiny bubbles on the water surface. It's caused by the feeding habits of these catfish as the they shift and dig into the substrate. Use prawn or soft plastics.
