Nasci should be better of the lot. I have an older version of it, and it lasted quite a bit longer than the cheaper shimano reels. For me at least.

Cant seem to find a good deal for a nasci 1000hg
Will a nasci c2000 be a good match for a storm trickster 4-10lbs?

Is there a 1000hg model? I can't seem to find it on the net. Anyway, the c2000 makes a nice pairing too, the little extra drag can come in handy.

Sounds good, just dont want to have an oversized reel haha
Should spool with 4lbs or 6lbs of fireline?
Or nanofil?
Mostly just for reservoir/light pond fishing

i would go for sahara 750! you want a shallower spool to give you that wee bit of casting distance, and if you just started out fishing i would high recommend that you get the 6lb line.

If it's ultralight fishing, 4lbs is plenty but I would consider 6lbs if it fills up the spool nicely. Personally I don't like reels that are too small. While they're light in weight, the line retrieval rate can be low even with high gear ratio. You need to crank more times to pick up slack lines between strokes. Plus you can't work bigger or lures that have high water drag very well. But that's just me.

in that case spool it up with 6lb braid! you want that extra bit of casting distance. You also might want to learn how to tie an albright, slim beauty, fg knot! This helps reduce the number of swivels and helps with overall presentation of your lure.
Ps. The fg knot can be really annoying to tie but it maintains one of the highest knot strength, i believe it's second to the PR knot which requires a bobbin knotter

icic, in that case go for the c2000s! you should be able to spool in 150yards of 6lb braid in there

Re: Which reel? (1000 size range)
Actually, found an epic deal for a rarenium 1000s the seller very nice, sold it and a thin 8lbs braid for $130
Only the spool a little shaky, any idea why?
Like the spool has a little room to move up and down, not a lot though

Re: Which reel? (1000 size range)
I'm no reel expert but I guess this reel has been used quite a bit and stuff inside is wearing out. Strip the line out completely and respool it back. Check to see if the lines are spooled evenly. Usually with these 'shaky spools', you'll the bottom part of the spool will get less line. It can be an issue if it's severe, causing line on the spool to loosely slip into the groove.
