Can we use a prawning rod and reel at ponds

Other than using the prawing pond's rod , can we use a prawning rod + reel at prawning pawns
Having a reel is redundant since the prawn ponds are typically small so casting with more lines is not needed. Prawn ponds usually also provide the rods and tackles ready, so you don't really need to bring anything. The more enthusiasts would bring their own prawn rods and their bait.
That said, you can use rod and reel if you prefer but it's crucial that your rod tip and power matches that of a prawn rod.
